ABOUT US
Cortado cafe was born from a vision to serve the best coffee in the most inviting place.
Cortado in Spanish means “ to cut” or “ cut in half”; it comes from Spain where the origins of “kahwa” or coffee, had traveled all the way from the Arabian peninsula. For us, from Morocco,a cup of “nos nos” ( half milk/half coffee)at a coffee shop is the perfect reason to get together with friends.
Our desire is that at Cortado cafe, you will come to find equal parts, great coffee and a great community. We want to offer a unique coffee house environment unlike any other in Alexandria. We are not only a place to drop in and get your morning cup of coffee( although you are more than welcome to do that), we are a place where you can also stay and enjoy that tailor-made cup of coffee. If you need to work, we have a seating area created specifically for you. If you need to rest, we have a soft-seating area that is perfect for your weary mind and body.
